Bead Christmas Mood, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — a diamond-shaped mint ornament with a folk-art deer head framed by a wreath of red flowers and greenery on one side, and a cosy patterned mitten on the reverse. Worked with over 719 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads and finished with a ribbon for hanging.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Nordic and Slavic folk art the deer carries the sun back after the longest night, bringing light and blessings. Stitchers say a folk deer on the tree brings a bright, lucky new year.

Why this kit: if you love Scandinavian and folk-style Christmas decor, this ornament is charming and quick to make. Great for beginners, and a lovely handmade stocking filler or gift tag.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with both sides of the design, a second canvas for finishing, over 719 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads, a Japanese beading needle, beading thread, sealant, decorative ribbon, and instructions with a symbol key.

Bead both sides following the symbol key, then join them with the finishing canvas and sealant and add the ribbon hanger.

Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in). A two-sided keepsake ornament for your tree.
