Bead New Joy, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — a white dove with open wings on one side and a radiant white star on the other, each wreathed in green pine needles and red berries on a charcoal disc. Worked with about 621 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 10 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.

A little stitcher's folklore: the white dove is the ancient messenger of peace and good news, and the Christmas star guided the way. Stitchers say a dove and star on the tree bring peace to the home and light to the year ahead.

Bead both sides following the colour key, then assemble the ornament with the padding and add the ribbon hanger.

    Love these ornament kits. Always turn out lovely. I make them into 2 ornaments, adding felt to the back of each. Sometimes I'll change the bead color. They all will get used eventually! :)
