Bead Enchantress, a two-sided Halloween ornament kit by Abris Art — a pointed witch hat resting on a stack of old spell books on one side; on the reverse, a witch reading by candlelight. Worked with over 465 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 10 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.

A little stitcher's folklore: in old tales, the village wise woman kept her knowledge in books of herbs and charms, and a witch's hat by the door was said to guard the home from mischief. Stitchers say this enchantress keeps a little good magic in the house.

Why this kit: if you love cosy, bookish "witchy" decor, this ornament is charming and quick to make. Great for beginners, and a fun gift for book lovers and Halloween fans.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with both sides of the design, a second canvas for finishing, over 465 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 10 colours, a Japanese beading needle, beading thread, sealant, decorative ribbon, and instructions with a symbol key.

Bead both sides following the symbol key, then join them with the finishing canvas and sealant and add the ribbon hanger.

Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in) across. A two-sided keepsake decoration for Halloween.
