Bead Easter Guests, a two-sided beaded Easter egg ornament kit by Abris Art — a white goose with an orange beak among little orange flowers on one side, and a fluffy yellow duckling in spring grass on the other, on a pale green egg finished with a ribbon for hanging. Worked with about 722 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 8 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: geese and ducklings are the first guests of spring, and in village tradition a goose in the yard stood for a prosperous, well-kept home. Stitchers say these Easter guests bring new life and plenty to the house.

Why this kit: if you love cute, farmyard Easter decor, this egg is charming and quick to make. Great for beginners and a lovely Easter basket gift.

Kit includes: art canvas printed with both sides of the design and a colour key, about 722 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 8 colours, beading needles, beading thread, decorative filler, a decorative hanging ribbon, and instructions.

Bead both sides following the colour key, then assemble the egg with the filler and add the ribbon hanger.

Finished size: about 7.5×5 cm (2.95×1.97 in). A keepsake Easter ornament.
