Bead Home Happiness, a two-sided beaded Easter egg ornament kit by Abris Art — a black-and-white folk-art rooster with a bright red comb, framed by an orange beaded rim on a white egg, finished with a ribbon for hanging. Worked with over 515 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 5 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Ukrainian folk art the rooster greets the sun and guards the household, bringing prosperity and happiness home. Stitchers say a rooster egg on the Easter table keeps the family happy all year.

Why this kit: if you love folk-art Easter decor, this rooster egg is bold and charming, and quick to make with only 5 colours. Great for beginners and a lovely Easter gift.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with both sides of the design, a second canvas for finishing, over 515 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 5 colours, a Japanese beading needle, beading thread, decorative filler, decorative ribbon, and instructions with a symbol key.

Bead both sides following the symbol key, then join them with the finishing canvas, fill lightly and add the ribbon hanger.

Finished size: about 7.5×5 cm (2.95×1.97 in). A keepsake Easter ornament.
