Bead By the Christmas Tree, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — a fluffy grey bunny sits in the snow among green branches, red berries and knitted mittens on one side; on the reverse, a decorated Christmas tree with presents, both on pale blue discs. Worked with about 618 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 11 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.
A little stitcher's folklore: rabbits have always been symbols of luck and new life, and a bunny by the Christmas tree is a wish for a gentle, lucky new year. Stitchers say this little bunny brings soft, happy days.
Why this kit: if you love cosy, pastel Christmas decor, this bunny ornament is sweet and quick to make. Great for beginners and a lovely stocking filler.
Kit includes: art canvas printed with both sides of the design and a colour key, about 618 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 11 colours, beading needles, beading thread, padding, a decorative hanging ribbon, and instructions.
Bead both sides following the colour key, then assemble the ornament with the padding and add the ribbon hanger.
Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in) across. A two-sided keepsake ornament for your tree.
