Bead Woodland Wonder, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — a cheerful gnome with a white beard wearing a Christmas-tree hat on one side; on the reverse, a snowy red toadstool cottage with glowing windows. Worked with over 604 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.
A little stitcher's folklore: in Scandinavia the Christmas gnome guards the home and brings luck to families who remember him, and the red mushroom is a lucky charm in Central Europe. Stitchers say a gnome and his mushroom house bring double luck for the new year.
Why this kit: if you love whimsical woodland Christmas decor, this ornament is charming and quick to make. Great for beginners and a sweet stocking filler.
Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with both sides of the design, a second canvas for finishing, over 604 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours, a Japanese beading needle, beading thread, sealant, decorative ribbon, and instructions with a symbol key.
Bead both sides following the symbol key, then join them with the finishing canvas and sealant and add the ribbon hanger.
Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in) across. A two-sided keepsake ornament for your tree.
