Bead Sleigh of Santa, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — Santa in his red coat and white beard with a golden sack of presents on one side; on the reverse, his sleigh piled high with gifts among green needles and red berries. Worked with about 712 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 12 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.
A little stitcher's folklore: St Nicholas, the original Santa, was the patron of children and secret gift-giving, and his visit was said to bring blessings to the whole household. Stitchers say a Santa ornament keeps the magic of giving alive all year.
Why this kit: if you love classic Christmas, this Santa ornament is festive and quick to make. Great for beginners and a lovely keepsake for a child's first Christmas.
Kit includes: art canvas printed with both sides of the design and a colour key, about 712 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 12 colours, beading needles, beading thread, padding, a decorative hanging ribbon, and instructions.
Bead both sides following the colour key, then assemble the ornament with the padding and add the ribbon hanger.
Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in) across. A two-sided keepsake ornament for your tree.
