Bead Ballet of the Winter Night, a two-sided Christmas ornament kit by Abris Art — a nutcracker soldier in red and gold on one side and a graceful ballerina in a white tutu on the other, both on snowy teal discs. Worked with over 571 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 11 colours and finished with a ribbon for hanging.
A little stitcher's folklore: in German tradition the nutcracker is a guardian who brings good luck to the family, and in the famous ballet he becomes a prince on Christmas Eve. Stitchers say this pair keeps the magic of the Nutcracker alive every December.
Why this kit: if you love the Nutcracker ballet, this ornament is enchanting and quick to make. Great for beginners and a lovely gift for young dancers.
Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with both sides of the design, a second canvas for finishing, over 571 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 11 colours, a Japanese beading needle, beading thread, sealant, decorative ribbon, and instructions with a symbol key.
Bead both sides following the symbol key, then join them with the finishing canvas and sealant and add the ribbon hanger.
Finished size: about 6.6 cm (2.6 in) across. A two-sided keepsake ornament for your tree.
