Sparkle Firefly Brooch Bead Embroidery Kit by Abris Art AD-086

Bead a tiny glowing firefly with Sparkle, a bead embroidery brooch kit by Abris Art — lilac and pink wings, beaded antennae and a big faceted crystal body that catches the light like a real glow. Worked in 14 colours of Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads.

A little stitcher's folklore: in many countries fireflies are thought to be little lanterns carrying wishes, and seeing one on a summer night is said to bring luck. Stitchers say a firefly worn close keeps a small light burning for you on grey days.

Why this kit: if you want a quick, delightful make, this little firefly finishes in an evening and suits beginners perfectly. Sweet on a collar, bag or hat — and a lovely stocking stuffer.

Kit includes: art canvas with the full-colour design printed on it, about 209 Preciosa Czech glass beads in 14 colours, beading needles, beading thread, and instructions with a finishing guide. A brooch pin and backing are not included, nor are the crystals and other decorations shown in the photos.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. When the beadwork is done, follow the finishing guide to cut it out along the outline, then mount it as a brooch with a backing and pin of your choice.

Finished size: 4.2×4 cm (1.65×1.57 in). A charming handmade accessory and a sweet little gift.
