Heat of October Dachshund Lantern Counted Cross-Stitch Kit by Abris Art AH-088

Stitch Heat of October, an autumn counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a red vintage oil lantern glows with two little dachshunds curled up inside, while golden and orange leaves drift down around it. Worked on 14-count cotton Aida in 33 colours of embroidery floss, it's warm, witty and very cosy.

A little stitcher's folklore: a lamp in the window was the old way of guiding loved ones home on dark autumn nights, and a dog by the hearth was the surest sign of a happy house. Stitchers say this lantern keeps both the light and the dogs close — a picture of home when the evenings draw in.

Why this kit: if you're a dachshund devotee, this design was made for you — charming, a little quirky and lovely to stitch on autumn evenings. It's a comfortable size for confident beginners. A perfect gift for sausage-dog lovers.

Kit includes: white 14-count cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 33 colours of cotton floss on an organizer card, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the lantern and dogs, then the falling leaves.

Finished size: 16×24 cm (6.3×9.45 in). Cosy autumn decor and a fun gift for dog lovers.
