Provence Morning Lavender and Coffee Counted Cross-Stitch Kit by Abris Art AH-173

Stitch Provence Morning, a counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a steaming blue coffee cup, a pink macaron and a cherry-topped cupcake sit beside a bundle of lavender tied with a red ribbon, with purple lavender fields and an orange-roofed farmhouse behind. Worked on 14-count cotton Aida in 36 colours of embroidery floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Provence, lavender was hung over doorways and tucked into linen to keep the home calm and happy, and kitchen lore says a house where coffee is always on never runs short of friends. Stitchers say this little breakfast scene brings slow, sunny mornings all year round.

Why this kit: if you dream of breakfast in the south of France, this is your cosy escape. It's a compact, colourful project with lots of little details, great for confident beginners. A lovely gift for coffee lovers and Francophiles.

Kit includes: 14-count cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 36 colours of cotton floss on an organizer card, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the cup and treats first, then the lavender and landscape behind.

Finished size: 18×17 cm (7.09×6.69 in). Cosy kitchen decor and a thoughtful gift.
