Stitch Beekeeper, a counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a little garden gnome in a black-and-yellow striped bee hat peeks out from the centre of a big golden sunflower, while bees buzz happily around him on pale blue Aida. Worked in 29 colours of embroidery floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: garden gnomes were said to guard the garden and help plants grow by night, and bees bring good luck and good news to any home they visit. Sunflowers turn towards the sun. Stitchers say put all three together and your garden — and your luck — will flourish.

Why this kit: if you love cheerful, whimsical designs, this sunny gnome is pure fun to stitch. It's a comfortable project for confident beginners. A perfect gift for gardeners, beekeepers and gnome collectors.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 29 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the sunflower petals, then the gnome and bees.

Finished size: 30×22 cm (11.81×8.66 in). Cheerful kitchen or garden-room decor and a fun gift.
