Stitch Cold Touch, a floral counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a lush bouquet of peonies and roses worked entirely in shades of grey, silver and soft charcoal, like a frosted still life. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 22 colours of floss, with metallic thread for a cool shimmer.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Chinese tradition the peony is the "queen of flowers," bringing honour and a happy marriage, and silver has long been worn to reflect bad luck away. Stitchers say a silver bouquet keeps its beauty — and its good fortune — forever.

Why this kit: if you love elegant, minimalist decor, this monochrome floral fits any modern interior. The gradual grey shading is calming to stitch. A sophisticated gift for a new home or a wedding.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 22 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, decorative metallic thread, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Build up each petal shade by shade, then add the metallic highlights.

Finished size: 28×28 cm (11.02×11.02 in). Elegant floral wall art and a thoughtful gift.
