Stitch Symphony of Water, a counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — an old stone-and-timber watermill with a thatched roof and big wooden waterwheel stands beside a flowing stream, surrounded by trees in soft watercolour greens and blues. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 40 colours of floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: the watermill was the heart of the old village — where grain became bread — and a turning wheel was a sign of steady work and a full table. Stitchers say a watermill on the wall keeps good fortune flowing into the home.

Why this kit: if you love cosy countryside scenes, this watermill is peaceful and full of rustic detail. An absorbing project for confident beginners and experienced stitchers, and a lovely gift for anyone who dreams of country life.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 40 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the mill and waterwheel first, then the stream and trees.

Finished size: 22×22 cm (8.66×8.66 in). Rustic wall art for a kitchen or cosy corner.
