Stitch Water's Shimmer, a counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a bright blue tree frog with orange eyes sits on a green leaf among pink and orange blossoms, framed by a pale blue crescent moon on one side and a glowing golden sun on the other. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 49 colours of floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: frogs are an old charm for luck, wealth and renewal — in Japan the frog (kaeru) also means "return", so it's said to bring money and loved ones back home. Stitchers say this little frog brings good fortune by day and night.

Why this kit: if you love cute animals and bright colour, this frog is cheerful and full of watercolour shading. An absorbing project for confident beginners, and a fun gift for frog lovers.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 49 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the frog first, then the leaf, flowers, moon and sun.

Finished size: 21×27 cm (8.27×10.63 in). Cheerful wall art and a fun gift.
