Stitch Forest Collection, a botanical sampler counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a nature journal page of forest treasures: red-and-white toadstools, brown ceps, acorns, blueberries, ferns, leaves and a feather, scattered on white canvas. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 27 colours of floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Central European tradition the red fly agaric is a lucky mushroom, and an acorn in the pocket was said to bring good health and long life. Stitchers say a basket of forest finds brings the forest's luck home.

Why this kit: if you love cottage-core and woodland style, this sampler is charming and fun to stitch motif by motif. A comfortable project for beginners, and a lovely gift for foragers, hikers and nature lovers.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 27 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch each mushroom and leaf one at a time.
