Stitch The Abyss, a nautical counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — giant orange-and-brown kraken tentacles curl up from the depths and frame a tall sailing ship riding the stormy grey-green seas. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 39 colours of floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: Norse sailors told tales of the kraken, yet a ship that sailed past it was said to be blessed with luck for every voyage after. Stitchers say this brave ship brings courage to face any storm.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 39 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the ship first, then the waves and tentacles.

    So glad I took the plunge on this project! Has everything you need (minus maybe a highlighter, scissors, and needle threader) and it's starting to look so cool and I'm not even one whole line of squares into it! So excited to finish this
