Stitch Keeper of Wisdom, a fantasy counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a golden-orange baby dragon curls up fast asleep on a stack of old leather-bound books, with little green crystals and grass at their base, on natural canvas. Worked on 14-count Aida in 26 colours of floss, including metallic silver thread.

A little stitcher's folklore: in legend, dragons guard great treasure — and for a book lover, the greatest treasure is knowledge. Stitchers say a dragon asleep on books guards the wisdom of the home.

Why this kit: if you love fantasy and books, this little dragon is adorable and quick to stitch. A comfortable project for beginners, and the perfect gift for readers, students and fantasy fans.

Kit includes: 14-count Aida canvas (23×25 cm), a cross stitch needle, 52 m of cotton embroidery floss in 26 colours (including 6 m of metallic silver thread) on a floss organizer, a printed colour chart pattern, and instructions. Hoop not included.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the dragon first, then the books and crystals.

Finished size: 13×15 cm (5.12×5.91 in). A small treasure for a bookshelf or reading nook.
