Stitch Reader's Christmas Tree, a Christmas counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a Christmas tree built from stacks of colourful books, wrapped in green garlands and red baubles, topped with a golden star and finished with red bows at its base. Worked on 100% cotton Aida in 25 colours of floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Iceland, the "Jólabókaflóð" (Christmas book flood) means giving books on Christmas Eve and reading all night — a book at Christmas is a wish for a year of wisdom and cosy evenings. Stitchers say a tree of books brings stories and warmth home.

Why this kit: if you love books and Christmas, this design is witty and cosy — perfect for a library, bookshop or reading nook. A comfortable project for beginners, and the ideal gift for book lovers.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Aida canvas, a cross stitch needle, 25 colours of embroidery floss on an organizer, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the book spines row by row, then the garlands, baubles and star.

Finished size: 14×22 cm (5.51×8.66 in). Festive decor for book lovers.
