Stitch Cat and Mouse, a Christmas counted cross-stitch kit by Abris Art — a black cat in a Santa hat lounges lazily on top of a tall stack of patterned presents, while a cheeky little mouse peeks out from the side. Worked on 100% cotton Zweigart Aida in 17 colours of embroidery floss.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Britain a black cat is a lucky charm, and an old saying goes that a cat sleeping on the presents means there'll be plenty more to come. Stitchers say this cat is guarding the gifts — and the mouse is waiting for its chance.

Why this kit: if you love cats and a bit of Christmas humour, this design is irresistible and quick to finish. The hoop is included and doubles as a frame, and it's easy for beginners. A fun gift for cat lovers.

Kit includes: 100% cotton Zweigart Aida canvas, an embroidery hoop, a cross stitch needle, 17 colours of cotton floss on an organizer card, a printed symbol chart, and instructions in 8 languages.

Counted cross stitch is worked by following the symbol chart and placing each cross on the Aida grid with the matching floss colour. Stitch the stack of presents, then the cat and mouse.

Finished size: 15×15 cm (5.91×5.91 in). Playful Christmas decor and a fun holiday gift.

The ring is not great quality but the actual fabric, details, and instructions are good.
