Bead Shade of Night, a mid-sized bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a glossy black raven with a blue-violet sheen perches on a branch inside an oval stained-glass window in icy blue and grey, framed by golden leafy branches. Worked with over 3,660 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 19 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: ravens are the wise birds of legend — Odin's ravens flew the world each day to bring back knowledge, and legend says the kingdom stays safe as long as ravens remain at the Tower of London. Stitchers say a raven at the window keeps watch over the home.

Why this kit: if you love gothic, stained-glass style, this raven is elegant and shimmers beautifully. A satisfying project for beginners and experienced beaders, and a striking gift.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 3,660 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 19 colours, Japanese beading needles, beading thread, and instructions with a printed colour key. Frame not included.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the raven first, then the stained-glass window and branches.

Finished size: 20×20 cm (7.87×7.87 in). Gothic-elegant wall art.
