Bead a card for a new arrival with Among Stars and Clouds, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a puffy white-and-silver cloud and seven raised stars in yellow, orange and cream float over a pale blue card, with little "sweet baby" tags. Worked with about 1,266 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: an old belief says every baby is born under their own lucky star, and a card made by hand carries the maker's blessings to the new little one. Stitchers say this one wishes the baby sweet dreams and a sky full of luck.

Why this kit: if you want a baby-shower gift that's truly personal, this card becomes a keepsake parents will treasure. Everything to make it is in the box, card blank included. Quick and friendly for beginners.

Kit includes: natural art canvas with the full-colour design printed on it, about 1,266 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours, beading needles, beading thread, a cardboard card blank, a printed card front, double-sided tape, and instructions.

Each bead is sewn onto its marked spot on the printed canvas. When finished, mount it into the card with the double-sided tape.

Finished size: 14.8×21 cm (5.83×8.27 in). A handmade baby card and keepsake.
