Bead a birthday card to keep with Making Dreams Come True!, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — five round, iridescent balloons in pink, yellow, blue and green float on fine strings above elegant "happy birthday" script. Worked with over 1,414 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 8 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: balloons carry wishes up to the sky, and old birthday custom says the wishes you make that day come true if you keep them secret. Stitchers say a card made by hand holds the maker's wishes for the whole year ahead.

Why this kit: if you want a birthday card that won't end up in a drawer, this one comes with a frame and a magnet so it can be displayed long after the party. It's quick and beginner-friendly. A personal touch no shop card can match.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the card design, over 1,414 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 8 colours, a Japanese beading needle, a frame, a magnet, and instructions with a symbol key.

Each bead is sewn onto its marked spot on the printed canvas. When finished, mount it in the card frame and add the magnet if you like.

Finished size: 14.8×21 cm (5.83×8.27 in). A handmade birthday card and keepsake.
