Bead a card full of sunshine with Be Pleased of Your Life!, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a smiling yellow sun kite and a little blue kite drift through fluffy clouds above the words "you are my sunshine." Worked with over 755 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: flying a kite was once a way to send your wishes up to the heavens, and a sun on a card is a wish for bright days ahead. Stitchers say a handmade card carries twice the warmth.

Why this kit: if you want to brighten someone's day, this cheerful card does it — and it comes with a frame and a magnet so it can stay on display. Quick and friendly for beginners. Lovely for a friend, a child or a get-well wish.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the card design, over 755 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 9 colours, a Japanese beading needle, a frame, a magnet, and instructions with a symbol key.

Each bead is sewn onto its marked spot on the printed canvas. When finished, mount it in the card frame and add the magnet if you like.

Finished size: 14.8×21 cm (5.83×8.27 in). A handmade greeting card and keepsake.
