Stitch Cherry, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a bunch of four shiny red cherries hanging from a brown twig with bright green leaves, stitched in bold, simple blocks on white 14-count Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: children used to count cherry stones to find out who they would marry — 'tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor'.

Why this kit: a quick, easy first project with only 10 colours and big, easy-to-count squares — ideal for children and beginners.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Madeira stranded cotton threads in 10 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the cherries first, then the leaves and twig, using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 6.5×8 cm (2.6×3.1 in). A cheerful mini picture for a card or small frame and a great first kit.
