Stitch Sleeping Fox on the Moon, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a little orange fox curls up fast asleep on a golden crescent moon, his fluffy tail tucked round him, while golden stars twinkle all around. Tiny, sweet and quick on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: an old lullaby says the moon rocks every sleepy creature to sleep, and a fox curled on the moon means the whole forest is dreaming.

Why this kit: a quick, gentle nursery picture with only 17 colours — completes a lovely trio with Fox on the Moon (B1187) and Fox with a Star (B1188).

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 17 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the golden moon first, then the sleeping fox, and finish with the stars using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 12×14 cm (4.7×5.5 in). A calm little nursery picture to frame and a sweet gift for a new baby.
