Stitch Numbers, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — cheerful teddy bears play with big pastel numbers from 0 to 9 in pinks, blues, greens and purples, with balloons, party hats and a large pink number 1. A bright, playful set of motifs for a child's room.

A little stitcher's folklore: counting rhymes have been sung in nurseries for centuries, and bears who help children count were said to bring good marks at school.

Why this kit: a fun, colourful design for a nursery or playroom — each bear and number is a little motif of its own, so you can stitch it in short sessions.

Kit includes: 18-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 50 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch one bear and number at a time following the chart, starting with the big pink 1 and working through the rest.

Finished size: 55×56 cm (21.7×22 in). A playful picture for a child's room and a lovely gift for a first birthday.
