Stitch Easter Egg, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a pink polka-dot Easter egg nestles among purple crocuses, green leaves and little white spring flowers. Fresh, cheerful and quick on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: eggs have been a symbol of new life at Easter for centuries, and the first crocus of spring was said to promise a lucky year.

Why this kit: an easy (2 out of 5), quick Easter project that's perfect for a card, a small frame or a first spring stitch.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 23 colours, 2 needles, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the pink egg and its dots first, then the purple crocuses, and finish with the leaves and white flowers using the chart.

Finished size: 17×14 cm (6.7×5.5 in). A pretty Easter picture to frame and a sweet spring gift.
