Stitch The Flirty Duckling, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a little yellow duckling dressed up in a frilly pink dress, a pearl necklace and a wide pink sun hat trimmed with roses, ready for a garden party.

A little stitcher's folklore: country folk say a duckling in its Sunday best means the sun will shine all day.

Why this kit: a fun, girly character design with 35 colours on easy-to-count 14-count Aida — perfect for beginners.

Kit includes: 14-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 35 colours, a needle, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the duckling's face and beak, then the pink dress and pearls, and finish with the hat and roses using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 12×18 cm (4.7×7.1 in). A cheerful picture for a girl's room and a sweet gift.
