Stitch The Detective Duck, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a yellow duck in a grey trilby, a blue coat with the collar turned up and a long scarf strolls along looking very pleased with himself.

A little stitcher's folklore: they say a duck always knows where the best puddles are — this one is clearly on the case.

Why this kit: a funny, characterful little design with 37 colours on easy-to-count 14-count Aida — pairs well with The Flirty Duckling.

Kit includes: 14-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 37 colours, a needle, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the duck's face and beak, then the blue coat and scarf, and finish with the hat using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 15×18 cm (5.9×7.1 in). A fun picture for a child's room and a great gift for mystery fans.
