Stitch For a Walk, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a curly golden puppy with a green lead sits patiently beside a pair of sage-green wellies, waiting for someone to take the hint.

A little stitcher's folklore: dog owners say the moment the wellies come out, every puppy in the house knows exactly what's coming.

Why this kit: a sweet, cosy design with 38 colours — perfect for a hallway and a lovely gift for dog walkers.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 38 colours, a needle, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the puppy's eyes and nose, then the curly golden fur, and finish with the lead and wellies using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 21×20 cm (8.3×7.9 in). A sweet hallway picture and a lovely gift for dog lovers.
