Stitch Ice Cream Scoop, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a pretty “La Dolce Scoop” parlour draped in purple wisteria, with a striped awning, a giant cone by the door, a chalkboard and a little ice cream van.

A little stitcher's folklore: Italians say a scoop of gelato on a summer's evening is the surest cure for a bad day.

Why this kit: a cheerful, summery shop front with 47 colours at an intermediate level.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 47 colours, a needle, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the sign and awning, then the windows and ice cream van, and finish with the wisteria and flowers using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 24×20 cm (9.4×7.9 in). A sweet summer picture for the kitchen and a fun gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.
