Stitch The Charm of Butterflies, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a kitten glowing in vivid neon oranges, blues and violets gazes up at bright orange butterflies against a deep black background.

A little stitcher's folklore: a butterfly landing near a cat was said to be a friendly spirit come to play.

Why this kit: a bold, contemporary portrait with 47 colours — the black Aida makes every colour glow.

Kit includes: 14-count black Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 47 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the kitten's eyes, then the glowing fur, and finish with the butterflies using the partially coloured chart; a daylight lamp helps when stitching on black.

Finished size: 25×30 cm (9.8×11.8 in). A striking modern picture for a teen's room or study and a great gift for cat lovers.
