Stitch Autumn Pumpkin, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — three plump orange pumpkins nestle among fallen leaves, with sprays of russet and golden autumn foliage arching above them.

A little stitcher's folklore: pumpkins on the doorstep were said to welcome a good harvest and keep mischief away on the long autumn nights.

Why this kit: a warm, seasonal design with 31 colours on rustic Aida — lovely from September to Thanksgiving.

Kit includes: 16-count rustic Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 31 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the pumpkins and stalks, then the fallen leaves, and finish with the arching foliage using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 19×18 cm (7.5×7.1 in). A warm autumn decoration for the kitchen and a lovely seasonal gift.
