Stitch Poppies, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — three orange-red poppies with dark centres open on tall, graceful stems, standing alone on crisp white Aida. A small, simple floral with lots of impact.

A little stitcher's folklore: poppies were once gathered at midsummer and hung by the door to keep the house cheerful. Three together, the saying goes, bring luck, love and a good night's sleep.

Why this kit: a quick, easy floral with only 18 colours, perfect for a small frame or as a first larger project. It pairs beautifully with its partner design B2225.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 18 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the petals from the darkest shadows to the brightest highlights, then the black centres, and finish with the long stems using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 15×22 cm (5.9×8.7 in). A small, bright floral to frame and a lovely gift for poppy lovers.
