Stitch Poppies, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — two scarlet poppies and a hanging bud rise on slim green stems, one bloom facing you and one turned to the side, on plain white Aida. Clean, modern and quick to stitch.

A little stitcher's folklore: an old country rhyme says a poppy bud that nods towards you will open with good news. Stitchers say this one has already bowed its head.

Why this kit: a small, simple floral with only 18 colours — ideal for a quick project, a gift or a pair with its sister design B2224.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 18 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red petals and dark centres, then stitch the bud and finish with the stems using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 13.5×22.5 cm (5.3×8.9 in). A neat little floral to frame and a sweet gift for flower lovers.
