Stitch Orchid, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a graceful spray of pink moth orchids with deep magenta centres arches over broad green leaves, with buds still waiting to open, against a soft cream background with delicate swirls.

A little stitcher's folklore: in the Victorian language of flowers, orchids stood for love, beauty and refinement, and one in the window meant the household was a happy one.

Why this kit: an elegant, calm floral with only 21 colours — a quick, relaxing project that looks refined when framed.

Kit includes: 18-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 21 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the orchid centres, then the pink petals, and finish with the stem, leaves and background using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 23×22.5 cm (9.1×8.9 in). An elegant floral to frame and a lovely gift.
