Stitch Bouquet with Peonies, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a classic botanical posy of crimson and pale pink peonies with buds and green leaves, after the flower paintings of Pierre-Joseph Redouté, worked on fine 20-count evenweave.

A little stitcher's folklore: Redouté, the 'Raphael of flowers', painted for Marie Antoinette and Empress Josephine, and peonies were believed to bring honour and prosperity.

Why this kit: an elegant, heirloom-style floral for lovers of vintage botanical art, and a lovely companion to The Peonies (B2355).

Kit includes: 20-count white Zweigart Belana evenweave, Anchor 100% cotton threads in 44 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the deep crimson peonies first, then the pale pink bloom, and finish with the leaves and buds using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 20×26.5 cm (7.9×10.4 in). A classic botanical picture for the home and a treasured gift.
