Stitch Bouquet, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a lush hand-tied bouquet of pink and peach roses, blue hydrangea, sprays of tiny blue berries and a single red protea, set against a soft blue watercolour background.

A little stitcher's folklore: florists say a bouquet tied by hand holds the wishes of the person who made it. A stitched one, of course, holds them for good.

Why this kit: a generous, colourful bouquet that brightens any room and makes a wonderful birthday or Mother's Day gift.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 48 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the large pink roses in the centre, then the hydrangea and peach roses, and finish with the leaves, berries and blue background using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 33.5×37 cm (13.2×14.6 in). A joyful floral picture for the living room and a lovely gift.
