Stitch Dreaming of a White Christmas, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a bright white living room decked for Christmas, with a glowing wood stove, a frosted white tree, wreaths on the windows, a garland on the stairs and two golden dogs curled up asleep on the sofa. Metallic thread adds sparkle to the decorations.

A little stitcher's folklore: they say a dog asleep by the fire on Christmas Eve is dreaming of snow — and that if both dogs dream it, it will come true.

Why this kit: a calm, elegant Christmas interior in whites, creams and golds, and a lovely change from the traditional red-and-green.

Kit includes: 18-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton and metallic threads in 56 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the stove and the sleeping dogs, then the tree and wreaths, and finish with the sofa, stairs and metallic highlights using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 50×34 cm (19.7×13.4 in). A cosy festive centrepiece to bring out every December and a thoughtful gift for dog lovers.
