Stitch The Flower Fairy, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a young woman with long golden-brown waves and a crown of roses and wildflowers rests her cheek against a white horse, also garlanded with blooms, in soft painterly light.

A little stitcher's folklore: old tales tell of flower fairies who ride white horses through the meadows at dawn, leaving blossoms wherever they pass.

Why this kit: a romantic, richly shaded portrait from the Gold Collection with 70 colours — a real heirloom for experienced stitchers.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Anchor 100% cotton threads in 70 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a black-and-white symbol chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the faces, then the flowers and the horse's mane, and finally the hair and background.

Finished size: 44×35 cm (17.3×13.8 in). A romantic heirloom for the bedroom or living room and a treasured gift for horse lovers.
