Stitch Lucky Owl, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a fluffy little owl sits among tall white daisies and meadow grasses, gazing out with big eyes while a blue butterfly rests on top of its head. Based on artwork by Elena Samarskaya.

A little stitcher's folklore: an owl with a butterfly on its head, the story goes, has been chosen by summer itself — and brings a year of good luck to whoever finds it.

Why this kit: a charming, detailed nature picture that owl and butterfly lovers will adore, with soft meadow colours that suit any room.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 47 colours, 2 needles, a black-and-white symbol chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the owl's eyes and face, then the feathers, and finish with the daisies, grasses and butterfly using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 30×24 cm (11.8×9.4 in). A lucky little owl to frame and a lovely gift for nature lovers.
