Stitch Vase with Roses, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a clear glass vase holds a romantic bunch of pink, cream and deep red garden roses with tight buds and glossy leaves, a few petals and blooms resting at its foot.

A little stitcher's folklore: in the Victorian language of flowers, a mixed posy of pink, white and red roses said 'grace, purity and love' all at once — the perfect bouquet for someone dear.

Why this kit: a classic, elegant rose still life with a lovely glass effect — timeless in any room and a favourite gift for mothers and grandmothers.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 56 colours, a needle, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the deep red rose, then the pink and cream blooms, and finish with the leaves, buds and glass vase using the black-and-white chart.

Finished size: 31×30 cm (12.2×11.8 in). A romantic floral still life to frame and a lovely gift.
