Stitch Northern Lights, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — ribbons of green and violet aurora swirl over a snowy mountain, reflected in a still blue lake where little red cabins glow and a sailing boat rests by the shore.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Nordic legend the northern lights are the shimmer of the Valkyries' armour, and seeing them was said to bring good fortune.

Why this kit: a magical night landscape with 59 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 59 colours, 2 needles, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red cabins and boat, then the snowy mountain and lake, and finish with the green and violet sky using the black-and-white chart.

Finished size: 32×24 cm (12.6×9.4 in). A magical night-sky picture for the living room and a lovely gift for travellers.
