Stitch Apricot Blossom, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — ripe golden apricots, one halved to show its stone, rest beneath a branch of creamy white apricot blossom on a soft grey-green background.

A little stitcher's folklore: apricot blossom was a sign of spring and new beginnings, and ripe apricots of the sweetness that follows.

Why this kit: a fresh, delicate still life with 43 colours at an intermediate level, on white Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 43 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the apricots, then the white blossom and buds, and finish with the branch and background using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 25.5×22 cm (10×8.7 in). A fresh picture for the kitchen and a lovely spring gift.
