Stitch Christmas Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a sleepy puppy curls up on a red knitted blanket in a cosy armchair by the window, beside a vase of red poinsettias and pine and a wrapped present, with snow falling outside.

A little stitcher's folklore: it's said a pet asleep by the Christmas window is keeping watch for Santa — and will wake you the moment he arrives.

Why this kit: a warm, peaceful Christmas interior from the Gold Collection with 60 colours, on Aida with a printed grid to help counting.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 60 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the puppy, then the red blanket and armchair, and finally the flowers, present and snowy window.

Finished size: 37×29 cm (14.6×11.4 in). A cosy Christmas heirloom for the living room and a treasured festive gift.
