Stitch Queen of the Sunlit Continent, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a regal African woman in a tall orange-and-black head wrap, with gold earrings and layered bead necklaces, stands before a glowing setting sun, palms and flying birds.

A little stitcher's folklore: across Africa the head wrap is a crown of pride and heritage, worn to honour the strength of the women who came before.

Why this kit: a striking, dignified portrait from the Gold Collection with 62 colours, on Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 62 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the face and eyes, then the head wrap and jewellery, and finally the sunset and palms.

Finished size: 29×48 cm (11.4×18.9 in). A powerful statement portrait for the living room and a meaningful gift.
