Stitch Winter Evening in the Mountains, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a log cabin with smoke curling from the chimney glows among snowy firs by a winding stream, with a deer on the bank and the sunset lighting the peaks.

A little stitcher's folklore: mountain folk kept a light in the cabin window on winter evenings so that any traveller lost in the snow could find shelter.

Why this kit: a magical, glowing winter landscape from the Gold Collection with 62 colours, on Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 62 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a black-and-white symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the lit cabin and reflections, then the snowy firs and deer, and finally the mountains and sky.

Finished size: 51×35 cm (20.1×13.8 in). A cosy winter landscape for the living room and a treasured Christmas gift.
