Stitch Cherries, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a bunch of four glossy red cherries with green leaves and slender stems sits in the centre of a small woodgrain hoop, ready to hang as soon as it's finished.

A little stitcher's folklore: cherries were an old symbol of sweetness and good fortune, and a pair on one stem meant two hearts joined.

Why this kit: a tiny, beginner-friendly project with just 16 colours — the perfect first kit or a quick gift.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 16 colours, a needle, a woodgrain round embroidery hoop (13.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the red cherries, then the leaves and stems, using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 10×10 cm (3.9×3.9 in). A sweet little hoop for the kitchen and a perfect first kit.
